All About Me!
My name is Taylor Weihe (Why-He), and I am your child's teacher for the 2019-20 school year. I am very excited to be sharing my second year at Willow Grove with all of you! I know it will be a great year of doing fun, new things and getting to know each other during this important time in your child's life.
I am a graduate of Elmhurst College, where I received my BA degree in Early Childhood Education with two endorsements - English Language Learners (ELL) and Early Childhood Special Education. For as long as I can remember, I have known I wanted to be a teacher; so, it is so exciting and rewarding to be working with your children and teaching them every day! Outside of the classroom, I love spending time with friends and family! A few months ago, I became a proud dog mom of a rescue named Jax. He is a Husky-Lab mix, I believe about 2 years old and behaves like a very energetic toddler keeping me on my toes. I was a competitive dancer growing up and even taught recital classes at dance studios during my college years. Since it's been such an important part of my life, I love to incorporate movement breaks throughout the school day! In my free time, i enjoy crafting, shopping (especially at Target), and meeting friends for coffee.
Since you now know some things about me, I hope to get to know each family better throughout the year! If you ever need anything, please feel free to email me and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
I am looking forward to a wonderful year!! 🐵🧡
